This rotary tattoo machine is available in three different variations, and the version we tested was short with an extra short battery. This version of the Ambition Ninja is 130mm long, weighs 205 grams, and has a diameter of 34mm ( lighter than the Ambition Soldier).
Its design and shape have a modern, beautiful, thick, and elegant appearance. Moreover, holding it steadily in your hand feels very smooth and comfortable. But, its controls could be more impressive.

In terms of performance, the Ambition Ninja is truly impressive with its installed Japanese Coreless Motor capable of providing a speed of 9000RPM on 10V. Mast Lancer has the thickest aluminium grip, which is well-balanced. As a result, it fits very well in your hand. Also, it comes with two extra rubberized plastic grips to give full control over the device.
But, its grip is so noisy by twisting. From a design perspective, it is heavy compared to Archer machines. With the battery, it weighs 195g; it is still lightweight compared to the Ambition Soldier.
Most wireless machines have outstanding and smooth exterior designs. But they all share a common issue – the inability to fully clean the machine by accessing the pushing rod. This device also has the same issue. However, setting up and cleaning its external parts is still super easy.
Furthermore, like other Mast products, it has a 3.5mm stroke length, which is good for versatile tattooing designs. However, 3.55mm is not enough to get solid lines. To do this, you would have to go extra hard to push anything larger than three lines, which can damage the skin.
Therefore, it could be better for lining work, but with a 3.5mm stroke length, it is still great for shading work. We were especially impressed by the battery performance of the Mast Lancer Tattoo Pen. It comes with two 1900mAh batteries, which have impressive battery timing.
We used the pen for tattooing for more than 4 hours for testing, and the battery level only dropped from 100% to 20%. Mast Lancer can easily perform more than 12 hours of tattooing on a single charge.
We also want to inform you about being extra careful when changing the battery wrap. If the wrap gets damaged, it can destroy the unity of the machine, and it can even explode in your hands.
Mast Lancer is installed with a coreless motor capable of running the device at 12V with a speed of 10,500 RPM. It’s worth mentioning that, unlike other wireless tattooing devices, the Mast Lancer allows for precise increments in voltage.
